Kenneth Okonkwo, a lawmaker and Nollywood actor, has charged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) government purposefully withholds a number of information from Nigerians.
According to reports, Okonkwo said this in an interview with Channels Television’s “Sunrise Daily.”
Kenneth discussed the just ended Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council elections, which were held under an unidentified law and saw the APC win five of the six Area Councils.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) chairman said the ruling party is questionable and cautioned Nigerians not to be swayed by their actions.
Kenneth Okonkwo also asked why the Electoral Act 2026 gazetted copy has not been made public.
“Nigerians should not be carried away by what this dubious APC is doing,” he declared. The gazetted copy of the Electoral Act 2026 has not yet been released.
“APC purposefully conceals everything so Nigerians won’t even comprehend it until it’s too late.
“Unknown legislation governed the FCT election. The rule of law is violated by this. A law must be made public before it is enacted by the populace.
Kenneth Okonkwo, meanwhile, recently claimed that the Edo State government or its operatives were responsible for the assassination attempt on Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party for 2023.
Peter Obi and other ADC chieftains in Edo State were ambushed by gunmen, it was recounted.
In an appearance on “Prime Time” on Arise Television, Okonkwo remembered a prior warning to Peter Obi by current Edo State Governor Monday Okpehbolo not to enter the state without his permission.
