Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, a well-known and controversial Islamic preacher from Nigeria, has stated that Iran’s Islamic Republic system, not its people, is the target of the current hostilities.
According to reports, Gumi revealed this on Tuesday in a Facebook post in which he discussed his thoughts on the geopolitical unrest that surrounds the nation.
The cleric said the issue should not be seen as a direct assault on Iranians.
He wrote, “The Islamic Republic, not the Iranian people, is what they are fighting.”
Gumi went on to say that Persians would play a crucial role in protecting Islam and expressed hope about their future.
“The Islamic flag, which stands for resistance against evil, will be held by the Persians at the end of time. So don’t be sad; the end of evil is near,” he continued.
The preacher emphasized that God has ultimate authority and advised people not to make fun of Allah’s name.
“As for making fun of Allah’s name.” “The Almighty Allah is already in control,” Gumi said.
Gumi’s remarks coincide with escalating tensions between Iran and the United States after President Donald Trump had previously issued a warning.
Trump delivered the message via his Truth Social platform, raising concerns about the situation on a global scale.
