In the Premier League on Saturday, Nottingham Forest defeated West Ham United 2-0 with goals from Taiwo Awoniyi.

As of right now, Awoniyi has six goals in 14 Premier League games this year.

It is Forest’s first league victory since December 30, 2023.

Ola Aina, who had just returned from the AFCON 2023 in Côte d’Ivoire, was rested for the match.

In the first half’s five minutes of extra time, Awoniyi gave his team a 1-0 lead.

Awoniyi was replaced in the 67th minute by Divock Origi, a former striker for Liverpool.

After 71 minutes, Kalvin Philips was shown a second yellow card, bringing West Ham down to ten players.

Callum Hudson-Odoi scored Forest’s second goal in the 94th minute.

With 24 points from the victory, Forest moved up to 15th place in the league standings.
