The Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide has sued for peace among the Igbos across the Country to ensure the success of the President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.
The Igbos were urged to remain peaceful and avoid any act capable of trauncating the unity of the nation.
The President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu gave the advice when the Igbo Community Assembly Abuja, led by it’s Chairman, Mr. Ositadinma Nwoye paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja.
He explained that Igbos needed to support the present administration, but stressed the need for Government at all levels to ensure that Igbos were treated fairly in all aspects.
Chief Iwuanyanwu urged the Igbo Community Assembly Abuja, who had planned a protest over the alleged illegal demolition of some buildings belonging to some Igbos in the Federal Capital Territory to renage such plans as he would intervene in the matter.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Igbo Community Assembly Abuja, Mr. Nwoye had complained that an estate belonging to one Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu was allegedly demolished illegally and urged the Igbo Leader to intervene.
” We are here to complain to you because we have a protest scheduled for next week and we dont want to resort to issues that will lead to hreakdown of law and order”
Mr. Nwoye said that the Igbos would continued to contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic development of the Country, as well as support the Present administration to succeed..
