Popular Nigerian Pastor and founder of Streams of Joy International, Jerry Eze, has become Nigeria’s highest-earning YouTuber.

According to a recent report by Playboard, a data curation platform that provides rankings for YouTube channels globally in its ‘Super Chat Revenue’, Pastor Eze’s YouTube page has amassed over N7billion in all-time earning videos from 2014 to 2024.

The report stated that Eze’s viral prayer channel, New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD), known for the viral slogan, ‘What God Cannot Do Does Not Exist’, has over 2.12 million subscribers and over one million views daily, making it the most-watched preaching channel on YouTube.

The report added that Eze earns more than N7million daily from the YouTube channel.

The analytics website explained that it “collects the data for YouTube’s registered 18,658,214 channels worldwide to determine and announce reliable rankings.

“The channel popularity ranking is selected based on the number of views and likes of the video recently registered to each channel.”

Thus, the Abia State-born Pastor, who is a former Communications Specialist with the World Bank, emerged Nigeria’s highest-earning YouTuber because he is the most ‘Super Chatted’ content creator on YouTube in the country presently.

Super Chat, introduced in January 2020, is a paid feature on YouTube that highlights a viewer’s message at the top of a chat for a specified duration.

The longer the message (Super Chat) is pinned, the higher the cost and earnings for the YouTuber. In this case, Eze’s YouTubers get 70 per cent of the money earned and paid from Super Chats.

Super Chat is a significant revenue-spinner for Pastor Eze because his viewers purchase them (Super Chat) to highlight their prayer requests and testimonies during his live streams.
