Arsenal have opened a five-point gap at the top of the Premier League table, thanks to a 4-1 win over Aston Villa on Tuesday night.
The Gunners had lost 2-1 to Unai Emery’s men in the reverse fixture three weeks ago and had revenge on their minds.
However, there were no goals in the first half, with Mikel Arteta’s men missing accuracy in the final.
The second half was much better, as Arsenal raced into a four-goal lead, with goals from Gabriel Magalhaes, Martin Zubimendi, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Jesus.
There was still time for Ollie Watkins to pull one back, as Villa’s 11-game winning run came to an end.
The result takes Arsenal up to 45 points after 19 fixtures, while Villa remain third with 39.
