El-Rufai: Why Tinubu’s Government Is Afraid of My Return

Nasir El-Rufai, a former governor of Kaduna State, has hinted that his return to Nigeria is unsettling to those in authority.

He said that the political battle to overthrow the existing government has only just begun.

In an interview with BBC Hausa that was aired on Friday, he made the assertion.

I was one of the few persons who publicly told her that we would oppose and overthrow that regime when it came. I didn’t say anything at all.

“The issue would have been resolved long ago if they had something against me that they say they have against others. However, even if you wish to accuse me, be careful to provide evidence. I’m waiting, and I’ll go if someone invites me,” he declared.

El-Rufai also revealed that he disagreed with the current administration since their goals were different.

The former governor discussed his connection with President Bola Tinubu and stated that he had no personal issues with the president.
