For 10,000 students in Enugu State, the South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA) has formally opened a free registration period for the 2026 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
SERHA’s National Coordinator, Belusochukwu Enwere, stated during the program’s introduction yesterday that the program’s goal is to eliminate financial obstacles that keep talented students from pursuing higher education by paying for 10,000 eligible candidates’ JAMB registration.
“The program is in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes inclusive national development, education reform, and youth empowerment, among other things,” Enwere said.
The intervention, according to Enwere, is about investing in the future and enabling the next generation to contribute to the growth and development of the state and the nation, not only about exam registration.
“This program is strategic empowerment, not charity. Our economy is secure when we educate our young people. Our country is strengthened when we empower our students.
He cited the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) as part of larger initiatives to increase access to higher education and emphasized federal education sector changes, such as initiatives to stabilize relations with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
Enwere urged parents and guardians to continue supporting their children’s academic endeavors and urged the pupils to prepare well and take advantage of the chance.
