Tunji Disu was sworn in as the 23rd Inspector-General of Police (IGP) by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday afternoon.
The president also swore in two commissioners from the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) and six commissioners from the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) during the occasion, which was held in the Council Chambers of the State House in Abuja.
Ministers, high-ranking government officials, and members of the appointees’ families attended the ceremonies, which took place before of the first Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in 2026.
With a sizable number of council members present, the FEC got underway right away following the swearing-in ceremony.
Vice-President Kashim Shettima, Senator George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, National Security Advisor (NSA), and Mrs. Esther Walson-Jack, Head of the Federation’s Civil Service, are among those present.
Additionally, the majority of the ministers are present.
