Members of the African Democratic Congress, or ADC, are not ready for the next elections, according to Daniel Bwala, President Bola Tinubu’s Special Advisor on Policy Communication.
Bwala made the comments while criticizing party opposition figures, claiming that they were not prepared for the election process and that there was internal strife.
Bwala accused ADC members of introducing foreign meddling into Nigeria’s electoral process in response to allegations that Tinubu was planning to turn Nigeria into a one-party state.
“The opposition members under the umbrella of ADC know quite well that they are not ready for the election since all of them want to be president,” he wrote in a post on X.
“As if the foreign governments don’t have their embassies and commissions here in Nigeria to know the lack of preparation of the ADC. Association of party-grabbing elements, they have now resorted to importing foreign interference into our elections by accusing one party state.”
This comes after Tinubu was accused by ADC chieftain Peter Obi of turning Nigeria into a one-party state.
Rotimi Amaechi, who also spoke at the ADC demonstration at the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) headquarters regarding the deregistration of the David Mark-led breakaway, predicted that the APC-led administration would fail in 2027 despite efforts to undermine Nigeria’s democracy.
