MINISTER of State, Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo and the Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to the President, Garba Shehu, have returned to Twitter hours after the Federal Government lifted suspension on the microblogging platform.

Other presidential aides including Bashir Ahmad, Tolu Ogunlesi and Lauretta Onochie also flooded the social media service.

Keyamo, in his first post since the suspension was lifted wrote, “For those who prioritised politics over patriotism and exhibited disingenuous righteousness on Twitter suspension, they can now see that with all the FG conditions to which Twitter agreed, Nigeria is eventually better off for it. Congratulations Nigeria”.

Shehu tweeted, “Welcome back! Let me join fellow countrymen and women in welcoming the resolution of the impasse between the Federal Government of Nigeria and Twitter Inc., leading to the laying of  a ‘foundation for a mutually beneficial future with endless possibilities.

“I join the leaders of government in appreciating all Nigerians, ‘especially the vibrant Nigerian youths who have borne with the long wait to resolve this impasse,’ and as the government statement clearly says,  the gains made from this shared national sacrifice are immeasurable.

“We hope that this is appreciated by all. The nation comes first.
Once again, welcome back!”.

On his part, Ahmad, Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, took a more religious approach. He wrote, ” Peace be upon you and your family!”.

Meanwhile, the Special Assistant to the President on Digital and New Media, Ogunlesi, wasted little time reeling out some achievements of his principal.

He titled his long thread: “@NigeriaGov Policy Highlights of 2021, starting with the first half”.

But the controversial Onochie, who was rejected by the Senate as Independent National Electoral Commission’s federal commissioner, said Twitter has learnt its lessons.

Tweeting alongside a picture of President Buhari, she said, “Good Morning people.
Today, I’m a very proud Nigerian. A Nigeria that would protect the integrity of Nigerians and their sovereignty.

“I believe Twitter has learned their lessons so we can now move on. God bless Nigeria and Nigerians”
