Victor Osimhen is now just a goal away from breaking George Weah’s record of the all-time African top scorer in the Italian Serie A (46 goals).

The in-form striker scored his 20th and 21st goal of the season as runner-away league leaders, Napoli pummeled Torino 4-0 at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino stadium, Turin city, on Sunday.

Osimhen in the process broke Simy Nwankwo’s record (20) for the most goals scored by a Nigerian in a single Serie A season.

He also equaled Cameroonian legend, Samuel Eto’o’s record for the most Serie A goals scored in a single season by an African player (21).

Osimhen opened the scoring for the visitors just nine minutes into the game with a thundering header.

His ‘goal twin’ Khvicha Kvaratskhelia extended the Azzurri’s lead from the spot in the 35th minute.

Osimhen completed his brace in the 51st minute after he was set up by defender Mathias Olivera.

Substitute Tanguy Ndombele wrapped up the scoring for Napoli 17 minutes later off Kvara’s assist.

Napoli are now 21 points clear on top of the Serie A table.
