President of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari has celebrated with Bola Tinubu as he turns 71 on March 29, 2023, and is set to take office as leader of the nation on May 29.
The President joins the President-family elect’s members, particularly his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, business associates, and political allies in recognizing his remarkable age, which has been marked by years of experience and accomplishments in the private and public sectors that have helped him prepare for his historic victory on February 25, 2023.

According to President Buhari, Tinubu’s warmth, friendliness, and generosity have paved the way for a global network of friends who will help him shape his presidency and provide the necessary expertise to steer the economy and build on the achievements of previous leaders.
“As he gets ready to assume the reins of power at 71, the President affirms that Tinubu’s political background from the 1990s, active involvement in party politics, election as senator and later as governor of Lagos State, and diligent involvement in the leadership structure at the Executive and Legislative levels for many years, will serve as an asset for good and effective governance.”
