Asake makes history as first African to sell out New York’s Barclays Center

Famous Nigerian singer, Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has made history as the first African artiste to sell out the 19,000-capacity Barclays Center in New York, United States.

The ‘Lonely At The Top’ crooner sold out the centre on Friday night as part of his Work Of Art Tour.

He serenaded the crowd with ‘Omoepe’, ‘Bandana’, ‘Mogbe’, ‘Lonely At The Top’ and other hits.

British rapper, Centre Cee, Odumodublvck, Fireboy DML, and Chief Femi Otedola’s wife, Nana Otedola were among the attendees.

Recall that Asake recently sold out the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom with just two albums into his career.

His latest sold out came off his victory lap at the 2023 Headies Awards where he won both the Next Rated and Album of the Year.
