Hon. Datti Muhammad, a former lawmaker and current national vice chairman of the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) North West wing, has vowed to keep the party’s position as the dominant political force in the region.

Muhammad also vowed to use his wealth of expertise to rekindle the cohesion and togetherness among party members in the geopolitical region.

At the party’s Zonal Secretariat in Kaduna, he conducted his first meeting with the Zonal Executive Officers on Tuesday.

Malam Musa Mailafiya Mada, the Zonal Publicity Secretary for the North West, issued a statement shortly after the meeting in which he made an appeal for the Zonal Executive Officers’ collaboration in order to complete the task at hand successfully.

The zonal vice chairman added that the “North West is the most important zone in the country.”

Success, he continued, “can only be attained if the party remains actively unified by probing grey areas outside of the electioneering processes.

He reaffirmed his commitment to seeing that the party maintains a full-time operation, as well as that of the National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

Remember that after Salihu Moh Lukman, the former national vice chairman, resigned on July 26, 2023, Hon. Garba Datti Muhammad was sworn in by the APC’s national chairman in August of that same year.

The Zonal Legal Advisor, Bashir Ussaini Dutse, the Zonal Organizing Secretary, Hon. Salisu Uba Tsafe, the Zonal Publicity Secretary, Malam Musa Mailafiya Mada, the Zonal Leader of People with Disabilities, Hon. Lawal Muhammad Na Rogo, and the Zonal Youths Leader, Hon. Abdulhamid Umar Mohammed were all present at the first official meeting.
