Police arrest suspected killers of 58-year-old Aishatu Abdullahi in Gombe

The Gombe State Police Command arrested the accused killers of Mother of Eight Aishatu Abdullahi on Sunday.

Under 48 hours earlier, unidentified armed men killed Abdullahi for not handing over her mobile phone.

On Sunday, ASP Mahid Muazu Abubakar verified the arrest on X (previously Twitter).

“48 hours after the incident, police arrest suspected killers of 58-year-old Aishatu Abdullahi (Adda Damori). Details later, the post stated.

After the gruesome murder on Saturday, state governor Muhammadu Yahaya ordered security forces to find the murderers and leave no stone unturned.

Yahaya sent the state’s and nation’s sympathies to the grieving family, calling the victim’s murder horrific.

“I want to make it clear that those responsible for this vile and vicious act will face justice.

“Our security agencies must find the perpetrators to answer for their heinous acts.

The police’s initial reports are as terrible as a dark stain.

We grieve for the bereaved family, the Jekadafari community, and all citizens who are traumatized by this tragedy, he said.
