In response to his apparent incapacity to address security concerns in the state, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, the governor of Anambra State, has been requested to resign by the Coalition of South East Youth Leaders, or COSEYL.

In response to Thursday night’s vicious attack in the state that claimed the lives of two police officers and two citizens and kidnapped numerous more, COSEYL took action.

Recall that unidentified gunmen had ambushed Chief Chris Uba’s convoy, a prominent figure in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

A few security personnel were killed in the attack, and the politician managed to flee in his bulletproof car.

In response, COSEYL voiced concerns over security concerns roiling the state in a statement released by its President General, Goodluck Ibem.

The alliance demanded that the thugs responsible for the horrible assaults be apprehended right away.

It is concerning that a terrible act of this nature might occur during the Christmas season, which is observed with great respect and veneration by Christians worldwide.

“This is a serious blow, and we won’t take it lightly. Those thugs need to be detained and charged right now.

The statement continued, “We offer Governor Charles Soludo 48 hours to step down and express our regret to the good people of Anambra State for his incompetent leadership and inability to stand up for his people.”
