Security services have been urged by the Kogi state All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Campaign Council to apprehend Senator Dino Melaye, the PDP candidate, as soon as possible.

Senator Melaye allegedly admitted to cybercrime on a live television program, according to the ruling party.

Kingsley Fanwo, the Campaign Council’s Director of Media and Publicity and Spokesman, compares Melaye’s assertion on national television that he had access to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s back-end server to “walking into the prison yard and demanding to be locked up.”

“Dino Melaye has publicly acknowledged that he broke into the Independent National Electoral Commission’s backend. Fanwo stated, “He has to be taken into custody and charged with cybercrime.

He continued, saying:

“Dino Melaye never participated in the governorship contest. We do not consider the persistent contestant’s charges as anything more than the venting of a thoroughly rejected political jobber; he was in it for the money.

A youngster cannot be beaten and expected to not cry. But when we win, we’ll be generous. Here is someone who is complaining about the behavior and claims to have boycotted an election. He didn’t even show up to vote at his polling place. It’s important to look at how he received over 40,000 votes.

“We encourage moderation in celebration among our members. We must continue to be one people and act as such. The election’s outcomes have demonstrated that only our party is in favor of keeping our beloved state united.

“We defeated those who sought to bring our state back to the pre-World War II era of racial segregation as well as the election. This is your win, Kogites, and it will provide new momentum to continuity and consolidation.
