Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has issued a stern warning to people and teams inflicting issues within the state, saying these discovered wanting can be made to face the regulation.
Alia acknowledged this on Friday whereas addressing the gang gathered in Makurdi, the state capital, on problems with the safety disaster within the state.
The governor emphasised his dedication to sustaining safety and the well-being of the state’s residents.
Governor Alia’s remark comes amid rising issues about insecurity within the state, which he addressed by highlighting the significance of collective accountability and condemning those that could also be inciting unrest.
“We’re in authorities, and I don’t need something that may jeopardize the safety of Benue State,” Governor Alia declared.
“We’re not tolerating any nonsense from any group of individuals or from any particular person. Benue is bigger, greater and older than any particular person.
“The safety of Benue State and the safety of the lives and property of the individuals of the state may be very paramount to me, and I take it very critically.
“I don’t need anybody to create any issues right here within the state. Should you strive any bother or insecurity, you might be by yourself and you’ll face the regulation.”
Governor Alia additional reiterated his administration’s efforts to handle the inflow of armed herders, stating, “We’ve held conferences with each group and with them. They’re now leaving to the place they got here from.”
