Courtroom remands killer of two Ekiti conventional rulers

The police in Ekiti State have arraigned one of many alleged kidnappers, Bubuga Lede, 25, who murdered two conventional rulers in Ekiti State.

The courtroom ordered the defendant to be remanded on the Correctional Custody in Ado-Ekiti for 30 days.

Police prosecutor, Inspector Osuolale Yomi, knowledgeable the Justice of the Peace Courtroom that there’s possible trigger to order the remand of the defendant on the Correctional Centre in Ado-Ekiti.

Yomi mentioned the defendant was moderately suspected to have dedicated an offence: conspiracy to kidnap, try to homicide and homicide of Oba David Babatunde Ogunsakin and Oba Samuel Olatunde Ishola.

The prosecutor additionally alleged that the defendant tried to kidnap Oba Samuel Adebayo Fatoba and Bamidele Ibikunle Joseph (driver).

He mentioned the offence was punishable underneath Part 280, 241 and 234 of the Prison Code Legislation of Ekiti State 2021.

The prosecutor mentioned the defendant was arrested in Ikole-Ekiti on January 29 with offensive weapons.

He mentioned the duplicate case file has been forwarded to the Ekiti State DPP for authorized recommendation.

The defendant was represented by Barrister Olusoji Oladele.

The Justice of the Peace, O. F. Bamidele, ordered the remand of the defendant on the Ado-Ekiti Correctional Custody for 30 days pending authorized recommendation from the DPP and adjourned the case until April 24 for point out.
