Delta televangelist warns against blackmail

A popular televangelist and General Overseer of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, Effurun in the Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, has cautioned Nigerian social media handlers and influencers against “blackmailing people.”

A viral video currently trending on social media platforms had shown people claiming that Fufeyin touched a blue trouser worn by a young girl and began to interpret.

However, Fufeyin reacting to the video at the Mercy City Church premises on Saturday expressed surprise at the “misinterpretation” of his colours and prophecies in the recent prophecy he made concerning a girl in the viral video.

He said, “It’s not good. It’s dangerous for them to blackmail people. It’s not good. Those things are things of the Spirit. People of the world also misinterpreted the word of Jesus Christ in his days on earth because they weren’t in the Spirit.

“My concern is that the misinterpretation of this prophecy concerning a young girl is ongoing right now and I have heard it. I heard it while I was in Kenya when I was going to South Sudan and the news came to me that I misinterpreted something. I said what’s going on? I never, never misinterpreted any colours because it’s not today I started it. It’s because the people don’t understand.

“Anybody that did this thing (post), that story about that young girl, let them start from the beginning of the story. It’s all about prophetic training because it is called the ‘Prophetic Academy.”
