Governor of Gombe appoints 3,078 development facilitators across 11 local government areas.
Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the governor of Gombe State, has approved the appointment of 3,078 development facilitators across the state’s 11 local government areas.
Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, the Secretary to the State Government, who conveyed the governor’s approval, said the new appointees would serve as community representatives in all of the state’s 114 wards.
“This is to facilitate community engagement in areas of sensitization and enlightenment on government policies and programs, as well as intergovernmental relations between the state and local governments,” Njodi explained.

“Each local government with 10 wards will have 20 development facilitators I and 250 development facilitators II, while those with 11 wards will have 22 development facilitators I and 275 development facilitators II each.”
According to a press release signed by Mr. Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General of Press Affairs, Government House, Gombe, all of the appointments will take effect on January 1, 2022.
