Group asks Tinubu to rename Kogi to ‘Confluence State’

The Centre for Speech Improvement and Studying Initiative has referred to as on the Nationwide Meeting for a constitutional assessment to rename ‘Kogi’ as ‘Confluence State.’

The group’s Govt Director, Alexius Maiyanga, made this name whereas briefing newsmen on Thursday in Abuja.

He mentioned the decision grew to become vital as a result of the current geographical and political space referred to as ‘Kogi’ is the host of Rivers Niger and Benue, Africa’s most necessary rivers.

Maiyanga mentioned that Nigeria acknowledges the English language because the official language of communication, stressing that Normal Ibrahim Babangida (Rtd), who created the state and the Supreme Army Council, communicated wrongly so far as the nomenclature of Kogi State was involved.
