Kebbi Gov Signs 2025 Appropriation Bill Into Law

Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris on Friday, signed the 2025 appropriation bill of N580,427,469.023 into law.

The bill had earlier been passed into law by members of the State House of Assembly at their special sitting held at the Assembly Complex in Birnin Kebbi.

While presenting the bill on Friday to Governor Idris for assent at a brief ceremony at the Government House, the Acting Speaker, Hon Samaila Muhammed Bagudo disclosed that the legislative arm stopped all other activities to scrutinise the bill within seven days when it was passed into law.

He also thanked the executive arm for sending the bill in good time and solicited for its logical implementation.

Speaking shortly after he assented the bill, Governor Idris commended the lawmakers for quickly delivering the bill within seven days during which it was passed into law and presented for assent.

Idris assured the lawmakers and people of the state of his government’s readiness to utilise the appropriation law for the benefits of Kebbi citizens.

He however warned political appointees to sit up, vowing that he would not hesitate to sack the incompetent ones among them to appoint new ones.

He added that his administration will focus on infrastructural, education and health development, and as well guarantee the welfare of the needy in the 2025 budget.
