Nigerians have lost confidence in Buhari – ex-Senate President
FORMER Senate President, Senator Iyorchia Ayu, says Nigerians have lost confidence in the administration of President Buhari.
Ayu, who was head of the Red Chamber during the Third Republic between 1992 and 1993, said the myriads of problems plaguing the country persist because those on the saddle are “clueless, parochial and do not care about the need to give everybody a sense of belonging”.
Senator Ayu, who said this during the inauguration of projects in Port Harcourt, Rivers State yesterday, however, hailed Governor Nyesom Wike for demonstrating that he is a broadminded leader.
He noted that the APC as a party has failed to consider the entire country as its constituency.
“Any leader who leads Nigeria and thinks of ignoring other sections of this country is bound to fail. The crisis we are facing today is the crisis of loss of confidence. We have no confidence in the people who are leading Nigeria today.”
According to him, the PDP remains the only true nationalistic party because the party, when it was in power at the national level, adding thatvorked and took decisions that better the life of every Nigerian.
