Mesut Ozil could still stay at Arsenal in spite of reports claiming he has already agreed a deal with another club, his agent has stated.
The German playmaker has been frozen out of the Arsenal team for months after falling out with the club’s owners for reasons not related to football.
The World Cup winner has not featured for the Gunners this season and was not registered for major competitions.
There were reports from Turkey that Ozil had signed a three-year deal with Fenerbahce, while some others claimed he was close to joining Major League Soccer club DC United.
But his agent Erkut Sogut denied those reports, hinting that there is a possibility of Ozil spending another six months at the Emirates Stadium.
“He might stay at Arsenal until the summer but he might go,” Sogut told ESPN on Wednesday.
“Mesut’s priority is to stay but you never know in football, things can change very fast.”
