Presidential Tribunal Judgement: PDP goes to God in fasting and prayers for intervention

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) prayed to God on Tuesday in preparation for the presidential tribunal ruling, which is slated for Wednesday, September 6th.

PDP, which observed a day of fasting and prayer at the party’s national secretariat chapel, was hopeful that, like David in the Old Testament Bible, which recounts how God restored all that David had lost in the fight with the Amalekite, the party would win back its mandate before the tribunal on Wednesday.

The PDP Christian Religion Body 2023 Chairman and former governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna, said he believes God will give the party victory at the Tribunal in a press conference shortly after the sermon at the prayer session.

Even though they don’t expect to lose, he stated that whatever happens, Nigeria’s peace and unity should not be jeopardized. He also said that no matter which way the verdict is rendered, may God’s will be done.

The former governor of Adamawa State declared during the speech that God will enable the PDP to regain all of its lost ground and that the party will regain its mandate.

According to Harauna, who based his message on First Samuel 30: 1–8, the PDP would make up the ground it lost in the previous presidential election just as God enabled David to recoup all of his losses from his time spent with the Amalekite.

He pointed out that there are parallels between what happened during the presidential election announcement at 4 a.m. and what happened to David throughout the conflict.

According to Haruna, God will enable the PDP to regain its mandate just as He did in the days of the Amalekites and David. The parties will be able to get together and make amends thanks to Jesus Christ. Only Jesus Christ has the power to restore. We desire the recovery of all that has been lost.

David asked God for guidance, and after receiving it, he was able to reclaim everything that had been taken from him. PDP will get back whatever was taken. God and us need to make amends.

“We will position this country appropriately. Nothing is lost that cannot be found again, so long as we place it in God’s hands.

Chinwe Nnorom, the PDP’s director of publicity and the coordinator of PDP Christian Religion Body 2023, claimed that the party has been praying and fasting for a long time, and that it is not a coincidence that they are doing so right now, right around the time the tribunal is scheduled to rule. He added that this particular prayer is different because they are asking God’s face for a favorable ruling on Wednesday.
