Senate Minority leadership not imposed – Abba Moro fires back at Senator Ningi

The Senate Minority Chief, Abba Moro on Tuesday expressed dissatisfaction with the allegation by the senator representing Bauchi Central Senatorial District and Chairman, Norther Senators Discussion board, Abdul Ningi that the management of the Senate Minority Caucus of the tenth Senate was imposed on the caucus and that the management shouldn’t be doing its job of opposition.

Senator Moro, whereas making his contribution on the ground of the Senate to a Movement moved by Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriation, Senator Solomon Adeola over Senator Ningi’s allegation of finances padding levelled towards the management of the Senate, mentioned he was disenchanted that Senator Ningi may make spurious and unsubstantiated allegations towards the senate. He mentioned the finances was a product of painstaking efforts of the Govt and the Nationwide Meeting, including that each lawmaker made a contribution to it at one stage or the opposite.

The Senate Minority Chief mentioned the senate was made up of mature minds, stating that members are anticipated to give up their private pursuits to the curiosity of the Senate and the establishment referred to as Nigeria. He averred that to do in any other case was definitely irresponsible. He mentioned as a member of the Northern Senators Discussion board, he felt offended that Senator Ningi used the platform to put an allegation that was false and deceptive.

All we wish for this nation is stability, development, progress and creating the best happiness for the best variety of Nigerian individuals. That, to my thoughts, shouldn’t be essentially achieved by confrontation and pointless criticism.

“I would like all of us to know that the federal authorities of Nigeria is the federal authorities of Nigeria, and never the APC Federal Authorities or PDP Federal Authorities.

“Within the spirit of the founding fathers of federalism, we should all work collectively for the good thing about all people, and that’s precisely what I’m going to do and precisely what the minority management of the tenth Senate goes to do,” he acknowledged.
