‘They’ll Be Back!’ – PDP Chair Says Okowa, Oborevwori Will Return Like Uduaghan

The PDP is still in existence in Delta State, according to Emma Ogidi, the chairman of the party’s South South Caretaker Committee.
Ogidi reportedly stated that the defection of former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori had not diminished the party’s numbers or prospects.
Ogidi noted in a Vanguard interview that Delta State’s whole progress was provided by the PDP.

“Yes, there is still the PDP in Delta State; there is no denying that our numbers have diminished, but the party is still there.

When word spread that I had been assigned, I got a lot of calls from folks who insisted they were there to stay. The PDP is still quite enthusiastic.

“You understand why? The PDP has been successful since it has been the driving force behind Delta State’s progress over the years. The truth is that everyone has a different background, thus individuals who joined the APC had their own motivations. People often inquire what’s going on. Those of us who stayed behind, however, had our own motivations.

The victory of the PDP in Delta State is one explanation. The PDP brought about all of the current developments in Delta State. Some of us are still dedicated to giving back to Delta State because the PDP created the majority of the multimillionaires, thousandaires, and hundrednaires you see today.

We should be thankful to Deltans for their support, PDP. He expressed his strong opinion, saying, “I implore Deltans to see that there is still hope for the PDP in Delta State.”

Additionally, the former commissioner who represented Delta State on the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) stated that the APC has nothing to offer.

Governor Oborevwori and Okowa might return to the PDP, he emphasized, much like former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan.

The PDP is in power in Delta State. You may remember that Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, a former governor, visited the APC; I am aware of his remarks upon his return. He claimed to have been there and to have found nothing. In actuality, though, now is not the time to start answering every question. It is an opportunity to reflect.

“We remaining members of the PDP are assessing our situation. You are aware that this is a chapter, and we will report to our national headquarters in Abuja,” he continued.
