Though many applauded President Tinubu’s visit at COP28, some questioned the size of the Nigerian delegation, which included more than 1,400 registered attendees, according to reports. Reiterating that only 422 people were formally financed by the state, the government justified the delegation’s size.

In preparation for the summit that is scheduled to conclude on December 12, 2023, Tinubu left Abuja on November 29, 2023, sailing for Dubai.
