President Bola Tinubu has explained his motivations for running for Nigeria’s highest political office.

As was previously reported, Tinubu defeated his petitioners on September 6 at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja.

However, Tinubu was attending the G-20 Summit in India while yesterday’s much-anticipated Tribunal judgement was being delivered at the Appeal Court’s Abuja headquarters.
On Thursday evening, Tinubu stated that the reason he decided to run for president was because he believed that Nigeria was experiencing setbacks not because of a lack of knowledge or human resources, but rather because of a lack of management and leadership.

We’re here to show you a new future, he said. A nation with such a wealthy, resource-rich, and populous future. Its culture, traditions, and ethnicity are distinctive and very dynamic. If we can only use our diversity for prosperity, that is what will make our prosperity possible. We don’t lack knowledge. The human resources we have are not scarce. We only lack effective management and leadership, which is why I ran for president: to assist us all in guiding the nation’s soul in the right direction.

Tinubu warned the students that they could succeed in their chosen professions if they put effort, honesty, determination, and a shift in perspective into practise.

In order to advance prosperity and national development for the benefit of all citizens, the Nigerian leader urged Nigerians to take advantage of the nation’s rich diversity.
Yusuf Tuggar, the minister of foreign affairs, explained that one of the four Ds in President Tinubu’s foreign policy initiative was Diaspora, which aims to raise the calibre of services provided to Nigerians living abroad by Nigerian embassies.

“The problem of passport delays will be resolved. The time it takes for your passports to be ready won’t be endless. Second, you serve as Nigerians’ first point of contact with other nations. Beyond what our people project, we cannot expand. Therefore, it is crucial that you consistently portray Nigeria in a favourable light both online and offline, according to Tuggar.

Heirs Holdings Chairman Tony Elumelu previously told reporters that Nigeria was the best place to invest and that betting on Nigerians was one of the best bets one could ever make, citing Nigerian success around the world.
“We have faith in Africa, but particularly Nigeria. In a statement released on Thursday evening by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Elumelu said, “An investment in Nigeria promises a return that is scarcely found anywhere in the world and I do business across several continents.
