On Thursday (today), President Bola Ahmed Tinubu told Nigerians living abroad that he had excelled in school in his younger years.

According to reports, the president of Nigeria is currently attending the G-20 Summit in India.

However, Tinubu met with a number of Nigerian students who were studying in India on Thursday evening, and he cautioned them that they could succeed in their chosen fields if they put effort, honesty, determination, and a change of mindset into practise.

“A good education got me here, and I’m glad to be here in front of you as President of Nigeria. I began modestly. I manned a security post. In school, I served as a tutor. I excelled in school. Because of my education, I was able to join Deloitte and receive training from one of the largest accounting firms in the world.

I inquired about their presence in Nigeria when I first joined, and they replied, “We have a lot of clients that will take you if you want to go home. I joined Exxon Mobil in this way, and before I entered politics with a can-do attitude, I was a very successful accountant, auditor-general, and treasurer.
“You can succeed as well; don’t give up in any way. Nigeria is prepared to accept everyone. It doesn’t matter what region of Nigeria you are from, according to a statement given to reporters by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.
