The Jigawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has vowed to take action against any group trying to sow discord or divisions within the party.
This was mentioned in a statement that was published and signed by Hon. Aminu Sani Gumel, the party chairman.
The statement reads, “The actions of some of the party’s enemies who are desperate to cause a crisis within the party by launching smear campaigns against party leaders in the state have caught the attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Jigawa State chapter.”
“The party has been keeping a careful eye on a number of posts on social media and in the mainstream media that demonstrate deliberate attempts by some dishonest people to cause disruptions in our wonderful party.
“These elements are influencing a few narrow-minded party members to further their self-serving agenda against the peace and stability of the party, even though they are not even party card holders.”
“The values and continuity of the previous state administration led by Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar are reflected in the APC-led government in Jigawa State, which is led by Governor Malam Umar Namadi,” the chairman continued.

“The two leaders are highly regarded and have the party’s confidence.” We hold their reputations in high regard and need to jealously guard them.
“Jigawa APC will never permit any misguided element to create discomfort or a situation that might prevent the APC-led government in Jigawa State and Nigeria as a whole from fulfilling its campaign promises,” he added.
“We will look into any such fabricated, sponsored report against our leader, Hon. Minister of Defense Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, and take the necessary action.”
According to the statement, the anonymous group had made a number of untrue accusations against the minister, including claims of anti-party actions, and had no records with the Jigawa State APC headquarters.
The Jigawa APC would take all necessary legal and political measures to identify the gang and its sponsors, the chairman said.
It was noted that some Jigawa State Governor Malam Umar Namadi supporters and supporters of former Governor and Defense Minister Muhammad Badaru Abubakar have been involved in a political battle that seems to be intended to drive a wedge between the two leaders.
