Super Eagles winger, Ademola Lookman continued his blazing form this season scoring a brace in his Coppa Italia debut.
The Nigerian international grabbed an early brace in his club, Atalanta’s 5-2 drubbing of Spezia in Thursday’s Italian Cup round of 16 fixture.
Lookman opened the scoring for the hosts just ten minutes into the game at Gewiss Stadium. He then completed his brace two minutes later.
Albin Ekdal pulled one back for Spezia in the 14th minute.
Hans Hateboer restored the Nerazzurri’s two-goal lead 12 minutes later. But Daniele Verde reduced the deficit for Spezia again in the 38th minute.
Rasmus Højlund extended Atalanta’s lead with a brilliant goal in the 72nd minute, before Ethan Ampadu’s 90th-minute own goal sealed the quarterfinals qualification for The Goddess.
