Attorney Daniel Bwala, a 2023 presidential contender for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and advisor to Atiku Abubakar, has demanded that Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike be fired immediately.
After a falling out with Wike, Bwala reportedly made the call in response to the Rivers MPs’ scheme to remove State Governor Simi Fubara from office.

Following the Sunday fire, the governor had gone to the Assembly complex on Monday morning. However, security personnel had shot and released tear gas at him.

Bwala stated via X that Fubara should use his executive authority to drive Wike out of the country since authoritarianism is not recognized by the nation’s democracy.

Atiku’s assistant went on to caution President Bola Ahmed Tinubu about Wike before he damages the reputation of his administration domestically and abroad.

He wrote: “Sim Fubara need to drive Wike out of town by fully utilizing his executive authority. Autocracy is not tolerated in our democracy. Fubara was elected as Rivers State’s executive governor and chief security officer. Before Wike damages the reputation of his government both domestically and globally, @officialABAT is asked to exercise great caution. Wike has to be fired by PBAT right now.
