A driver in Adamawa State, David Donald, has been remanded at a correctional centre within the capital, Yola, after he allegedly consumed massive portions of an area beer referred to as burukutu and refused to pay for it.

The defendant additionally allegedly added two plates of fish pepper soup to his unpaid payments.

Donald, charged with dishonest and arraigned earlier than an Higher Space Court docket 4 sitting in Yola, was issued the remand order after he pleaded responsible to the offence opposite to Part 302 of the Penal Code Regulation.

In keeping with the prosecutor, the complainants reported the matter to the police, accusing the defendant of refusing to settle the payments.
