Police storm prison hideouts, arrest 18 road urchins In Kano

The Kano State Police Command has arrested 18 road urchins for allegedly conspiring to assault harmless members of most people.

The State Police Commissioner, Mr Usaini Gumel, made this disclosure in an interview with newsmen in Kano on Monday.

Gumel stated, “the suspects are members of an illegal society poised to launch unprovoked assaults on harmless members of the general public.”

The road urchins, in response to him, have been arrested at some crime-prone recognized areas, prison hideouts and black spots within the metropolis.

He listed the areas to incorporate: Mazaunar Tanko, Dandishe, Kofar Dan Agundi, Kofar Mata, and Filin Idi.

Others are Kofar Na’Isa, Kwanar Diso, Kukar Bulukiya and Dorayi Babba.

The CP stated objects recovered from the suspects throughout the spot raid performed on them included harmful weapons and a few dry weeds suspected to be marijuana.

Gumel added that every one the suspects can be correctly screened, profiled and after the conclusion of investigations prosecuted in courtroom.

“Extra sting operations can be performed to make sure that the state stays secure for all residents,” he acknowledged.
