Tinubu inaugurate committee on implementation of Oronsaye report, issues 12-week deadline

The Federal Authorities has inaugurated the Committee on the implementation and evaluation of reviews and White Papers on the Restructuring and Rationalisation of Federal Authorities Parastatals, Businesses, and Commissions also called the Steve Oronsaye Report.

The committee inaugurated on Thursday shall be headed by the Secretary to the Authorities of the Federation, SGF, George Akume.

Talking, Akume who inaugurated the committee on behalf of President Bola Tinubu, stated the Oronsaye report was aimed toward decreasing price of governance and streamlining effectivity.

A press release by the Director, Data, Workplace of the SGF, Segun Imohiosen, stated Tinubu gave the committee a 12-week deadline to submit its report.

The assertion reads: “The Secretary to the Authorities of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, CON, whereas inaugurating the Committee on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu harassed that the implementation of the White Papers on the report which might contain the merger, relocation, subsuming or scrapping of some Parastatals, Businesses, and Commissions is aimed toward decreasing price of governance and streamlining effectivity throughout the governance worth chain,” the assertion learn.

“President Tinubu’s approval for the implementation of the Oronsaye report comes twelve years after the panel submitted its report and a number of makes an attempt have been made at implementing its suggestions.”
