Kaduna govt denies hiring private negotiator to release abducted students

The Kaduna State Authorities has vehemently denied hiring a non-public negotiator or considering to make such a transfer to facilitate the protected return of faculty kids kidnapped in Kuriga group, Chikun Native Authorities of the state.

A press release issued on Saturday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Muhammad Lawal Shehu, mentioned, “The eye of the Kaduna State Authorities has been drawn to an outrightly mischievous and false report within the reporter Newspaper of ninth March 2024 stating that the Kaduna State Authorities has employed a non-public negotiator to facilitate the protected return of faculty kids kidnapped in Kuriga group, Chikun Native Authorities of Kaduna State.”

The assertion added, “We want to state categorically that the Kaduna State Authorities didn’t rent any personal negotiator, neither are we considering to make such a transfer. The hiring of a non-public negotiator solely exists within the fertile creativeness of the reporter Newspaper reporter.”

It defined that the state authorities has a transparent coverage on non-negotiation with terrorists, bandits and different felony parts.

The assertion urged members of the press to be cautious in the way in which they craft and publicise their tales on safety so as to not jeopardize the efforts of presidency and safety companies in degrading felony parts laying siege to our communities.

“If the reporter Newspaper had made efforts to contact the Kaduna State Authorities, they’d have gotten the proper data. The Press are our companions in progress. Our doorways are all the time open,” it added.
