Students loan: Tinubu to launch scheme Thursday – Presidency

The Presidency has disclosed that President Bola Tinubu will on Thursday launch the Pupil Mortgage Scheme.

Tinubu’s Particular Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, disclosed this on Sunday whereas showing on TVC’s programme ‘Counting the Price of Presidents Tinubu’s Reforms.’

In response to Ngelale, “Later this week, on Thursday, the President will launch the historic Nationwide Pupil Mortgage Programme.

“It is a main type of obligation discount for Nigerians and households and younger folks at a time when Nigerians are feeling the pinch. We imagine that is the best way to go.”

On June 12, 2023, Tinubu signed the Entry to Increased Schooling Act, 2023, into legislation.

The invoice is geared toward enabling college students to entry interest-free loans for academic functions.

The Federal Authorities had delayed in beginning the scheme that was initially scheduled to start between September and October 2023,
