Police nab suspected kidnapper, recover arms in Kaduna

The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested a 35-year-old man over alleged kidnapping within the state.

A press release by the spokesman of the command, ASP Mansir Hassan, stated the police additionally recovered arms and ammunition in a raid carried out on the residence of the suspect.

Hassan stated operatives of the CP Monitoring Unit arrested the suspect on February 29, at his residence in Ganga Uku village, Mararaban Jos.

He said that the operatives recovered a fabricated cartridge revolver rifle, a fabricated pistol, two Dane weapons, six reside cartridges, one discharge GPRG ammunition, seven discharge cartridges, and a blood-stained cutlass.

The police spokesman stated the suspect on February 13, connived with others now at giant, and kidnapped one Samaila Abdullahi, 40, at Keke Kingdom space of Mararaban Jos.

“The sufferer was forcefully taken to an unknown vacation spot,” he stated.

He stated the suspect is now in custody, including that, “this profitable operation underscores the general dedication of the police command, led by Commissioner of Police, Mr Ali Dabigi C, to keep up regulation and order in Kaduna State.”
