Burna Boy, a Nigerian music sensation, was not selected for any of the four Grammy Awards that he was nominated for.

The trio of Edgar Myer, Bela Fleck, and Zakir Hussain won the Global Music Performance category with their song “Pashto,” which was performed by the artist.

The South African rapper Tyla won the Best African Music Performance category, which was the second award that the Nigerian artist lost.

The song “Water” by her defeated Burna’s “City Boys.”

The Best Melodic Rap Performance category, which American rappers J Cole and Lil Durk won, came in third place.

Their song “All My Life” received a higher rating than Burna Boy and 21 Savage’s “Sittin’ On Top of the World.”

Regretfully, Burna Boy’s fourth nomination for Best Global Music Album was rejected.

His album “I Told Them” and his colleague David Adeleke’s (also known as Davido) “Timeless” both fell short of Shakti’s “This Moment,” a world fusion song.
