The Ogun State Government on Friday offered a N50 million reward for information leading to the capture of the individuals responsible for the death of Mr. Taiwo Oyekanmi, the former Director of Finance and Administration attached to the Oke-Mosan Abeokuta office of Governor Dapo Abiodun.
Oyekanmi, 51, was shot and killed by assailants at the Kuto Flyover Bridge in Abeokuta on Wednesday, November 29.
The gun-wielding thugs harassed the dead and two other people as they were making their way back to the governor’s office carrying cash that was allegedly taken out of two significant commercial banks in the city of Abeokuta.

The gunmen stole the enormous sum of money and killed the chartered accountant who was born in Ifonyintedo.
Governor Dapo Abiodun pledged not to stop at nothing until the assassins are held accountable, stating that the death of the senior government servant shocked and traumatized his cabinet.
However, the state government stated in a statement on Friday that anyone with information that would assist security officers in apprehending killers will be eligible for a N50 million cash prize.
The statement says in part, “On November 30, 2023, in Abeokuta, the state’s director of finance and administration, Mr. Taiwo Oyekanmi, was killed. The Ogun State Government has announced a reward of N50 million for anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the killers.”
