The chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has said it will take the collective and concerted efforts of all staff members of the agency to win the war against corruption in this country.

Bawa, who noted that all staff members are important, urged EFCC officials to be disciplined and dedicated in the discharge of their duties.

The EFCC boss said this at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja, yesterday, during his maiden address of the agency’s officials.

The chairman, who made his private telephone number available to the staff, asked them to share ideas with him that will enhance the operations of the commission.
He assured the staff that he would operate an open-door policy.

He said, “All staff are important in this fight against corruption from the top to the least. So, I invite everyone to bring ideas and best practices that will help to organise and recalibrate the commission in order to make it a better place.

“I am a part of you and I know the challenges.”

Bawa reiterated that the anti-graft agency, under his watch, would improve on the operations of the commission through the application of digital technology and intelligence-gathering.

He also held similar meetings with officials at the Abuja zonal office and the EFCC academy.

Bawa, who is 40-year-old, took the helm at the anti-graft agency, after he was confirmed by the Senate last month.
