On Sunday, unidentified gunmen reportedly killed two police officers while resuming their assaults on security checkpoints in Enugu State.
According to the gunmen attacked a police checkpoint nearby the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, or UNEC.
A source made a suggestion that the police officers on stop and search were taken by surprise.

Two of the officers are seen lying in a pool of blood in a video that is currently going viral on social media.
The incident has not yet been the subject of a statement from the Enugu State Police Command.
