GOVERNOR Hope Uzodinma says his predecessor, Rochas Okorocha is not a registered member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

Governor Uzodimma said this at the Sam Mbakwe Exco Chambers, Government House, Owerri, yesterday, while receiving APC Registration and Revalidation Appeal Committee.

He said “the management of self-aggrandizement, self-esteem, and inability to reason that yesterday is gone and today is a new vista is the major problem of most past leaders who still think they can carry over the powers they held yesterday.”

According to him, post-power-syndrome is the problem of most political leaders in Nigeria today.

Uzodinma therefore said Okorocha was not ready to be registered as a member of the party, despite claiming that he was barred alongside his supporters from the recent registration and revalidation exercise, as noted by the committee.

The governor noted that he never delegated anybody to intervene or obstruct anyone from registration, rather, he mandated the monitoring committee assigned to the National Registration Team to ensure that all members and even non-members of APC were registered in the exercise.

Governor Uzodimma told the team led by Hon. Farouk Adamu Aliyu that his interest is the growth of the party in Imo State and beyond and not necessarily the interest of an individual or groups.

He showed the team members of his cabinet who served as commissioners in the government of Senator Rochas Okorocha, which goes to show that his concern is APC and not the persons out there.
