The newly appointed managing director/chief executive officer of the Niger Delta Basin Development Authority (NDBDA), Prince Ebitimi Amgbare, has praised President Bola Tinubu’s pragmatic steps in handling the nation’s governance, saying that the president has done well for the Niger Delta region.

The Bayelsa state-born Amgbare spoke when he assumed office at the Authority’s headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, where he was warmly received by ranking officials and staff of the Authority after attending a well-attended Thanksgiving Service at the Royal House of Grace Church in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.

He said he was very proud to associate with the Renewed Hope Agenda and indicated that he was also the representative of President Tinubu in the agency.

He said President Tinubu meant well for the people of the region and urged the people of the Niger Delta to support the President to succeed in his mission to salvage the country.

Amgbare assured the management team of the agency of his passion to partner with them and provide what they need to succeed as civil servants.

He stated that as a one-time civil servant, he knew the needs of a civil servant to succeed and that he came prepared to make them happy.

He stated: “We need the passion, and we also need the goodwill. We have come with passion, we have come with goodwill.

“By the grace of God, today is just to assure the management team that you have a partner who can bring these things that you need to succeed.

“President Tinubu’s goodwill for the Niger Delta region is not in doubt. The current Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) being enjoyed by youths of the Niger Delta region was the brainchild of President Tinubu long before he became the president.

“The River Niger Basin Authority, which is the foundation of all intervention agencies is key to solving the problems of the Niger Delta. I am proud to be associated with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu. I am Mr. President’s representative here. Mr. President means well for Nigeria and our region.”
