Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, has announced a collaboration with IHS Towers that will alter Nigeria’s technology landscape.
The collaboration announces the creation of the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) Learning Community, a bold effort that will transform the country’s approach to technical education and talent development.
The minister said in a social media message this morning that the government would train three million technical talent over the next four years.
The minister stated that he would utilize a 1-10-100 scale. This entails training 1% of the three million people in three months, 10% over a set length of time, and finally 100%.
The 3MTT Learning Community will reach all 36 states of Nigeria as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
IHS Towers, a significant player in the telecommunications business, is donating a whopping N1 billion to this unique effort.
Dedicated Managers: As part of the agreement, IHS Towers will pay the salary of 37 dedicated learning community managers, each of whom oversees a specific site, for the next three years.
Prospects for the Future: According to Dr. ‘Tijani’s statement, our collaboration marks the start of an exciting adventure. It marks the start of a series of collaborations targeted at fulfilling the 3MTT program’s goals and furthering the Knowledge pillar of their Strategic Blueprint.
The collaboration is projected to have a significant influence on technical education and knowledge acquisition in Nigeria, representing a bold move toward a brighter, more digitally empowered future for the country.
