The theme for this year’s Costume Institute exhibition, which was held in honor of the life and work of the late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, encouraged guests to dress in accordance with the theme of the exhibition.
Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, Ice Spice, Serena Williams, Jennifer Lopez, Gabrielle Union, Dwayne Wade, Keke Palmer, and Billie Eilish were among the global megastars who were present at the event.
At the Met Gala, celebrities of African descent including Burna Boy, Stormzy, and Skepta all wore blue checkered outfits that were strikingly similar to one another.
Tems wore a dress designed by Robert Wun that had a distinctive headpiece and a black corset top that was embellished with feathers. Tems was the star of the show.
