The Home of Representatives has requested President Bola Tinubu to correctly assessment the Oronsaye Report earlier than implementing it.
The decision was the result of a movement of pressing public significance moved by Kama Nkemkanma and two others on Thursday throughout plenary.
It will be recalled that Tinubu ordered the implementation of the report on Monday.
The Home requested Tinubu to order a complete assessment of the 2012 Oronsanye Report, the Goni Aji Report which reviewed the Orosanye Report, the White Paper launched by the President Goodluck Jonathan administration, the Ama Pepple White Paper, and the Ebele Okeke White Paper according to present realities.
Shifting the movement, Nkemkanma stated the total implementation of the 2012 Oronsaye report in 2024 will definitely throw up unintended penalties, implications and outcomes.
He added that “the total implementation of the report won’t considerably scale back the price of governance because it doesn’t replicate the present scenario within the Public Service of the Federation.”
The movement was adopted with out debate and handed.
